Day One: Actress Caitlin Cauchy Portraying Cameron
Caitlin came in to audition for Cameron on the first day of auditions for Ipseity. She dressed the part, she was professional, and she had great acting experience. I am thrilled that I am able to work with her on this film because she brings the character I imagined when writing the script to life in so many ways. She is a blast to work with, and takes direction very well.
Day One: Actress Jazmine Duke Portraying Millie
After seeing many girls audition for the part of Millie, Jazmine walks into the audition and immediately she had the look I was searching for. She is pretty, and has a spunky personality. Her audition went very well, and knew she was a top contender for the part. In the end, no one impressed me as much as she did and I am glad to have her on this project. She's charismatic and great to work with.
Day Two: Actress Caitlin Cauchy as Cameron
The girls worked very hard, and brought energy to each and every take we did.
Day Two: Actress Denise Baker as Mrs. Wheeler
There were many actresses that came in for the part of Mrs. Wheeler, but Denise read and took direction the best. She has great experience and looked the part. She is a dedicated actress, and it shows in her work. She is great to work with, and I'm glad I could have Denise fulfill the role of Mrs. Wheeler.
Day Two: On Location
The office location took place at Fluid Interiors in Minneapolis, MN.
Day Three: Actor Christian DeMarais Portraying Jake
After sitting through two full days of auditions, I still had not found someone suitable for the role of Jake. That is, however, until Christian came in. His audition was towards the end of the second day and he blew me away with the emotional range he demonstrated in his monologue, and how well he took direction. Right then and there I knew I had my Jake. He is easy to work with, and has exquisite experience. I am so grateful to have him be a part of this film.
Day Four: Actress Caitlin Cauchy as Cameron
Caitlin has a great range of emotion, and I love the energy she brings to the set.
Day Four: On Location
The restaurant scene took place at Perron's Sul Lago in Prior Lake. It is an Italian Bistro, and take my word for it -the food is amazing.
Day Four: Actor Bengi Durgunoğlu Portraying Lukas
Bengi, which is pronounced BEN -ghee, came in for his audition on the first night. Immediately, I knew I wanted him to be a part of this film. His monologue was great, and he read well for both Lukas and Jake. However, he fit the role of Lukas a little better. Of course, I still had one more day of auditions so I couldn't make a decision quite yet, but no one else came in and read as well as he did. He is goofy, enthusiastic, and great to work with.
Day Four: Actress Caitlin Cauchy as Cameron
Caitlin was born and raised in Michigan. She then moved out to California, and just recently moved to Minnesota -Ipseity being her first film made in Minnesota. :)
