I have rewritten quite a bit of my script. Well, that's an understatement -I have begun to rewrite the whole story. After letting the story sink in last weekend, I found myself very unhappy with it. My fellow classmates and my instructor helped me find a better story for me to write, and so far I'm happy with what I have and I think I will really enjoy developing it into my senior film. I plan on finishing the first draft next week.

I have finished the first draft of my Senior Film! I am so excited that I am now just one step closer, but at the same time I know that I have a lot of work to do with my script. It is extremely rough and I have two ideas for the ending, but I couldn't decide tonight which ending I wanted. So that is a decision I'll need to decide on soon, but for tonight I am happy with what I wrote. I never really wrote a script before, other than little short scenes, and this was a huge challenge for me.

So stick with me! I have a ton of rewriting to do, I'm sure, but it will all pay off in the end. :)

Currently, I'm working on developing my characters and what makes them tick. It has been a difficult process because I have never really had to do something like this before and it is a little bit scary. I have an idea for my film, but it is rough and I am definitely worried that it won't be strong enough, or people won't be interested, etc. I am trying to create a story that even if you haven't been through the exact situation as the characters, you would be able to relate.

I am going to continue working on character building and developing the idea for my film. Can't wait to share it with you down the road!

For the Senior Project, I am to create a short film (10-30 minutes). I am in charge of directing and producing a film from pre-production all the way through to post production. Each process will take an entire quarter and the schedule is as follows:

Pre-Production: October 3 - December 14, 2011
Production: January 9 - March 22, 2012
Post Production: April 2 - June 14, 2012
